The Kent Denver Sun Devils stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Stargate School on the road to the tune of 58-16. With Kent Denver ahead 40-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Anya Peper continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with seven steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Duncan, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Stargate School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Kent Denver pulled down 18 offensive rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Kent Denver and bumps their season record up to 13-3. As for Stargate School, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Kent Denver will head out on the road to square off against Forge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forge Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Kent Denver is ranked 57th). As for Stargate School, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Prospect Ridge Academy at 2:00 p.m. Prospect Ridge Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
