After losing to the Provo Bulldogs the last time they met, the Mountain View Bruins decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Mountain View walked away with a 51-44 victory over Provo on Tuesday.
Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lia Suguturaga, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Carlson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Provo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Mountain View will be playing at home against Uintah at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 101st, while Mountain View is ranked 81st). As for Provo, they will head out on the road to square off against Timpanogos at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Timpanogos is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
