New Riegel is a perfect 5-0 against Arlington since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Blue Jackets will take on the Red Devils at 1:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
New Riegel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They didn't even let North Baltimore on the board, marking the Blue Jackets' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blue Jackets, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Karsyn Piper was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, New Riegel got a massive performance out of Jacqui Tiell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Tiell has posted since back in April. Ruthann Baughman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
New Riegel hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Baltimore struck out 12 times.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arlington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Ridgemont 13-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since April 14th.
New Riegel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Arlington, their win bumped their record up to 4-19.
Everything went New Riegel's way against Arlington when the teams last played back in April, as New Riegel made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Blue Jackets repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
