Oxford Academy owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past the Whitney Wildcats 7-0. Considering the Patriots have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Emily Ganguly's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

At the plate, Daniela Perez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Danelia Paniagua was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory (which was Oxford Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Whitney, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Oxford Academy has already played their next contest, a 10-8 loss against Santa Ana on the 21st. As for Whitney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Calvary Chapel on the 25th.
