Greene County is 1-7 against Towns County since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Greene County Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Towns County Indians at 6:00 p.m. Greene County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Greene County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lincoln County 72-40 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Greene County has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Towns County stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by Washington-Wilkes at home to the tune of 59-27. The win was familiar territory for Towns County who now have three in a row.
Brelan Sieveking continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with seven assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Emma Lallement was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Greene County pushed their record up to 6-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Towns County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Greene County couldn't quite finish off Towns County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 65-62.
