It was a proper cat-fight when Climax-Scotts took on Burr Oak on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Bobcats 17-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ben Nelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nelson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Climax-Scotts got a massive performance out of Logan Gilbert, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dane Sattler was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Climax-Scotts kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burr Oak only managed one hit.

Climax-Scotts' record is now 5-2. As for Burr Oak, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Climax-Scotts will venture away from home to take on Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burr Oak, they will welcome Colon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
