The Patriots took down the LaGrange Grangers 23-7 for which the team can thank Latimer, who rushed for 212 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards.

Sandy Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for LaGrange, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandy Creek will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Upson-Lee at 7:30 p.m. on September 12. As for LaGrange, they will face off against Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
