Smithfield is a perfect 10-0 against Bruton since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Packers will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Smithfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.
Smithfield will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Lafayette on Friday. The Packers blew past the Rams 26-5. The Packers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 23rd (when they won 30-6).

The team relied heavily on Grace Dodson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Maclaren Brown also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Smithfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .816. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bruton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Tabb, falling 15-4.
Zymeia Taliaferro made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Addy Stokes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
With the win, Smithfield broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5. As for Bruton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Bruton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Smithfield has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Bruton, though, as they've been averaging 11.5 hits. Given Smithfield's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Smithfield got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Bruton by a conclusive 30-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Packers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
