On Friday, the Woodson Warriors faced the Eastern Ramblers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Woodson took down Eastern 22-6. Winning may never get old, but Woodson sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Woodson to victory were William Simmons and Dallas Allen-Hall. Simmons rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, while Allen-Hall rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. Simmons is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Woodson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Eastern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Woodson is on the road again on Saturday and play against Ballou at 11:00 a.m. on November 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Ballou is ranked 12th, while Woodson is ranked sixth). Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
