The Grayslake Central Rams will square off against the Buffalo Grove Bison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Grayslake Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Grayslake Central barely beat Grant Community the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Bulldogs on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Autumn Aliff, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cameron Marshall, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Buffalo Grove had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Rolling Meadows on Friday.
Erin Ryan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Buffalo Grove hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolling Meadows struck out six times.
Buffalo Grove's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Grayslake Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Buffalo Grove's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grayslake Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. It's a different story for Buffalo Grove, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Grayslake Central's hitters?
Grayslake Central skirted past Buffalo Grove 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
