Marti Mcknight continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 176 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Ben Pitt also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Halifax Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braxton Hammack. Despite the final result, he rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns. Hammack is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Austin Gaertner was another major influence, as he rushed for 46 yards and ran in a TD.
Rocky Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Halifax Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-1.
Rocky Mount Academy will take on Wayne Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne Christian will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. Halifax Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
