Basketball Recap: Roderick Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Somerset Academy Losee over Arbor View

Somerset Academy Losee lost against Arbor View back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Somerset Academy Losee Lions fell 70-58 to the Arbor View Aggies. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Aggies are ranked fifth).

Somerset Academy Losee lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Roderick Johnson, who posted 17 points. Johnson's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kieran Daniel was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Somerset Academy Losee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Arbor View, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Somerset Academy Losee will square off against Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Somerset Sky Pointe's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Arbor View, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 92-70 defeat against Bishop Gorman on the 13th.
