The Gulf Breeze Dolphins waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 54-27 victory over Navarre. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-5.
Gulf Breeze's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayah Jones, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Tieman, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Gulf Breeze pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Navarre, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Niceville the next time they take the court. Navarre will host Niceville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, while Gulf Breeze will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
