The Salome Frogs posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Mayer, posting a 58-20 victory at home. That's another feather in the cap for Salome, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Salome's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edgar Gamez, who scored 18 points. Jovany Calderon was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Salome is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Mayer, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salome will challenge Desert Heights Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mayer, they will head out on the road to take on North Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
