They took down Triton 49-32. Given Tippecanoe Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Triton is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tippecanoe Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Smith, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals. Smith continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chesnee Miller, who scored 14 points along with 5 steals.
Tippecanoe Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Triton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Tippecanoe Valley is on the road again on Friday and play against North Miami at 7:45 p.m. on December 8th. As for Triton, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Caston at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th.
