The East Lake Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 49-27 walloping at the hands of Wiregrass Ranch. East Lake has not had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Claire Kelley was nothing short of spectacular for Wiregrass Ranch: she scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals. Kelley hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Anabella Nieves was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
East Lake's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
East Lake is on the road again on Monday and plays the Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they will face off against the Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Forest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
