Baseball Recap: Senn Has No Trouble Against Prosser

Senn won the last time they faced Prosser and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Falcons 12-3. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Jones Sweetman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Sweetman was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evan Goldman, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Donachie Conlon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Senn is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Prosser, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Senn will face off against Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prosser, they will be playing in front of their home fans against ITW David Speer Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
