While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 103rd).
 Munford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cleburne County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Cleburne County was dealt a bruising  50-17 defeat at the hands of Munford when the teams last played  back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
