The Chicago Marshall Commandos stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Raby 63-35 at home. Chicago Marshall's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Chicago Marshall found their leader in underclassman Janiyah Green, who scored 21 points along with nine steals. Green hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alysha Murphy, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Zamequa Hilliard and Zo?mya Page certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Hilliard scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Page scored 16 points along with three steals. That was a full 51.4% of Raby's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Chicago Marshall pushed their record up to 15-7 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.89 points. As for Raby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Chicago Marshall will head out on the road to challenge Bloom at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloom presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chicago Marshall in Illinois (Bloom is ranked 126th, while Chicago Marshall is ranked 330th). As for Raby, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kelvyn Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kelvyn Park's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Raby's offense will have their work cut out for them.
