The Grove Ridgerunners will be home for the holidays to greet the Bishop Kelley Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Grove was beaten by Booker T. Washington 100-32. While losing is never fun, Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 50th).
Meanwhile, Bishop Kelley took a serious blow against Collinsville on Tuesday, falling 82-51.
This is the second loss in a row for Grove and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Bishop Kelley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Grove was able to grind out a solid win over Bishop Kelley when the teams last played back in March, winning 57-45. Does Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Kelley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
