Fort Meade's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mekhi Berrien, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds, and Ryan Screen who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Ashton White was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Lakeland Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joseph Donohue out in front who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Nate Carpenter, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Fort Meade's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Lakeland Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Fort Meade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland Christian, they will take on Bell Creek Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bell Creek Academy is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, meaning Lakeland Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
