After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Henderson, Owen was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 84-53 win over the Tuscola Mountaineers. The Warhorses have beaten the Mountaineers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mountaineers has come to flipping the script.

Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Chouinard, who went 8-for-17 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. The game was Chouinard's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Bryce Ferguson was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Owen's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Tuscola, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Owen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-48 win against Brevard on the 10th. As for Tuscola, they will challenge North Henderson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
