The third road match was the charm for Cimarron-Memorial, as they earned their first away win of the season. Everything went their way against the Valley Vikings on Wednesday as they made off with a 23-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 26-0 last Monday.
Mares Kai and Isaiah Romero did most of the damage at the plate: Kai went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI, while Romero scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Kai has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Cheldon Isa also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-13. As for Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.
