Rosa Fort entered their tilt with Grenada on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They strolled past the Grenada Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 79-61. While the Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Grenada's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Wilks, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Scott, who earned 13 points.

Rosa Fort pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for Grenada, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Rosa Fort will take on Southaven in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosa Fort knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Southaven likes a good challenge. As for Grenada, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-42 loss against Oxford on the 14th.
