There's no place like home for the Midlothian Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 64-59 victory over Seguin on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Gilmore, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Gilmore's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Case Garcia, who scored 17 points.
Midlothian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Seguin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Midlothian will head out on the road to face off against Cleburne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cleburne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1034th, while Midlothian is ranked 374th). As for Seguin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Burleson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burleson is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
