Shanley will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Grafton/St. Thomas/Drayton at 7:00 PM. Shanley have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Shanley had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Jamestown 27-26.
Last Friday, Grafton/St. Thomas/Drayton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-41 to St. Mary's Central.
Shanley's win lifted them to 1-0 while Grafton/St. Thomas/Drayton's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Shanley can add another positive mark to their record or if Grafton/St. Thomas/Drayton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Shanley's step.
