Speedway is 2-7 against the Tigers since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Both teams will face off at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Speedway struggled with assists on Saturday (the Cadets had 18 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Speedway took a 62-48 bruising from the Cadets. Speedway has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Drew Matelic, who scored 14 points. Landon Short was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lebanon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-42 loss at the hands of Plainfield. Lebanon has struggled against the Quakers recently, as their contest on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Speedway have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 22.5 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
