New Diana waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Harmony 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 New Diana walked away with the   win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-13,  25-17.
 Ava Smith paced New Diana's offense, picking up 13 kills. Smith got some help from  Taryn Reece and her 15 assists. Reece was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
The  victory  got New Diana back to even at 16-16. As for Harmony, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Diana will  challenge  rival Daingerfield  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harmony is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Chapel Hill  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
