Cooper Palmer and Brayden Stinson made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Palmer tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Stinson tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Palmer also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Evadale is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise. At the plate, Palmer got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Stinson got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Stinson has posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Big Sandy waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 10-7. Ten seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Like Evadale, Big Sandy also got a great game from a pair of two-way players: Corbin Cude. On the mound, Cude struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Jasper Hardy tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Cude went 2-for-4 with two runs, while Hardy went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Daniel Barker was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Eli Murphy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Evadale now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Big Sandy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Evadale beat Big Sandy 8-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
