Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Chicago Vocational, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.
Despite the defeat, Chicago Vocational got a solid performance out of Ron Thigpen, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Bellamy, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Chicago Military Academy had to settle for a 63-61 loss against the Falcons on Tuesday. Chicago Military Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chicago Vocational's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Chicago Military Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
