After two weeks on the road, Affton is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Clayton at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
There's no need to mince words: Affton lost to Jennings last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 10-50. The state rankings had actually given Affton a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Clayton, and their game last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to four. They were dealt a punishing 7-42 defeat at the hands of Parkway North. Clayton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
