The California Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mapletown by a score of 77-66. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for California this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead California to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vincent Manzella, who scored 31 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manzella has scored all season. Noah Neil was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
California's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Mapletown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California will take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jefferson-Morgan's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Mapletown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Geibel Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses.
