The LAMP Golden Tigers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Brewbaker Tech. LAMP has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Johnathan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 20 rebounds for Brewbaker Tech. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tyler Dixon, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
LAMP has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Brewbaker Tech, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LAMP will face off against Beauregard at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brewbaker Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Lanier at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
