Alden is 2-8 against Eden since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Alden is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Wednesday, Alden made easy work of Cleveland Hill and carried off a 16-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Lilly Bromstead made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Taylor Reardon and Sawyer Faso did most of the damage at the plate: Reardon got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Faso went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Faso has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Jillian Uhrich was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Alden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Eden earned a 5-2 win over East Aurora on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.
Alden pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.8 runs thus far. As for Eden, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Alden skirted past Eden 14-12 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
