There's no place like home for the Turlock Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Downey with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 57-39. That's another feather in the cap for Turlock, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Turlock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Johnson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dutch Lawrence, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Downey still got an impressive performance from Reuben Lewis, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sumer Pannu, who scored nine points.
Turlock now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.
Turlock will head out on the road to square off against Modesto at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Turlock is facing Modesto at the right time seeing as Modesto is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Downey, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Enochs at 7:30 p.m. Downey is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
