Valley Lutheran extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Caynan Chapman. The Valley Lutheran Flames blew past the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions 59-39 on Saturday thanks in part to Chapman, who went 7 for 12 en route to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Gary Yang, who went 5 of 8 to rack up 11 points and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.
Valley Lutheran pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
