Remington has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the West Elk Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Remington earned a 48-35 win over Republic County. Given Remington's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Republic County is ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, West Elk's game on Monday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 41-36 W over Argonia. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Elk.
Remington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for West Elk, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything went Remington's way against West Elk in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Remington made off with a 50-24 victory. Does Remington have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Elk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
