Wellington-Napoleon's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Haden Terrill, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was Terrill's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trotter Hughes, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Lone Jack's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Garrett Mantzey led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mantzey has scored at least 25% of Lone Jack's points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Rogers, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds.
Wellington-Napoleon now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lone Jack, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Wellington-Napoleon will head out on the road to face off against Concordia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lone Jack's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crest Ridge. Crest Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
