When it comes to explaining why The Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trey Boychuk. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boychuk has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Massler, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
It was another big night for Elijah Eschmeyer, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for Peak to Peak. The team also got some help courtesy of Tysen Burton, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
The Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Peak to Peak, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
The Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Colorado Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colorado Academy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Peak to Peak, they will take on Prospect Ridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect Ridge Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Peak to Peak likes a good challenge.
