Trey Scheler Drops League-Best Effort on Saturday
Starting off the list is Cheyenne Wells's Trey Scheler, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Scheler rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
The win for Cheyenne Wells keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Scheler and Cheyenne Wells will face off against Eads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winder Posts Huge Game in 40-38 Victory
Shaine Winder's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 146+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry.
Unfortunately for Cheraw, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Winder. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Winder saw the Wolverines), he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown.

While Hudson Gourley delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Walsh. Gourley was unstoppable, throwing for 352 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also catching a touchdown.
Walsh is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Gourley and Walsh will host Granada at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wiley's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Grant Mauch
Thanks in part to Grant Mauch, Wiley said goodbye to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Mauch produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards on only five carries. Those 81 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Wiley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. Mauch and Wiley will stay at home for another week and welcome Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Zach Dickey Has Career-Day on Saturday
Zach Dickey posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. He rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
