The Columbia Central Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 52-31 margin over Brentwood Academy. Winning may never get old, but Columbia Central sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Saviya Morgan, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals. The matchup was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Anaya Mulholland was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Columbia Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Brentwood Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Columbia Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ezell-Harding Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Ezell-Harding Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Brentwood Academy will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Cookeville at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Cookeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday.
