In what's become a running theme this season, the Johnston Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Blackstone Valley Prep 53-20 on the road. The win was nothing new for Johnston as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Leading Johnston to victory were Aubree Allen and Jayanah Rollins. Allen scored 11 points, while Rollins scored 15 points.
Johnston's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnston will square off against Block Island at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hope's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Blackstone Valley Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
