The Mt. Zion Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Pace Academy at home and fell 51-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mt. Zion has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Mt. Zion still got an impressive performance from Olivia Ross, who scored five points along with three steals.
Mt. Zion bumped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.4 points per game. As for Pace Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Mt. Zion won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Clayton at 2:00 p.m. on December 9th. North Clayton is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game. Pace Academy will take on Sandy Creek in a holiday battle at 10:00 a.m. on December 18th at.
