Independence has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Ravenwood Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Independence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Independence was able to grind out a solid victory over the Raptors, taking the game 42-35.
It was another big night for Savanna Seay, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mj Montgomery, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Independence's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Ravenwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
Independence was able to grind out a solid win over the Raptors when the teams last played on Wednesday, winning 42-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independence since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
