Rockbridge Academy extended their winning streak  to three  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 6-4 in the process. They were the clear victors by  a  9-0 margin over Mount Airy Christian Academy. With that  victory, the Scots brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Evan Tessneer made a splash no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Tessneer was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. He has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last six times he's  played.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Samuel Parlette, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  stolen bases and three  runs. He has become a key player for Rockbridge Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joe Ward, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, their  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. The  defeat   continues a  trend for them in their meetings with Rockbridge Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
 Like Rockbridge Academy, Mount Airy Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Joshua Johnson. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   one  hit. Johnson was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  double.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge Academy will welcome Greater Grace Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, they will host Cumberland Valley Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
