Baseball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Chuckey-Doak entered their tilt with Gatlinburg-Pittman on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Highlanders 10-3. Considering the Black Knights have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jake Hinkle was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Randel Sauceman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Chuckey-Doak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .516 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Chuckey-Doak's record is now 8-5. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Chuckey-Doak will head out to square off against West Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chuckey-Doak is facing West Ridge at the right time seeing as West Ridge is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Washburn at 5:30 p.m.
