Show Low is a perfect 6-0 against Alchesay since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 3:45 p.m. Show Low will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Show Low earned a 6-2 win over Snowflake.
Karter Alexander made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Alexander was also big at the plate, earning one run and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kash Perkins, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Andres Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Alchesay suffered their closest loss since March 13, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of Tuba City by a score of 7-5. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Japeth Henry and Calvin Rockwell did some serious damage despite the final result: Henry went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Rockwell went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. That hit was Rockwell's first of the season. Chez Massey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.
Alchesay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Show Low, their record now sits at 14-3.
Alchesay's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Show Low has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Alchesay, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Show Low's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Show Low got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Alchesay by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
