Basketball Recap: Reeves Skates Past Evadale with Ease

Reeves saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Evadale Rebels, posting an 88-53 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Reeves got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lailah Williams out in front who went 7 for 9 on her way to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Frazier, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Reeves smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Reeves has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Evadale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Reeves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-28 victory against Vidor on the 28th. As for Evadale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-41 loss against Orangefield on the 30th.
