The Luther Prep Phoenix will look to defend their home court on Monday against the St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Lancers at 7:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Luther Prep's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while St. John's Northwestern Military Academy has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Back in December of 2023, Luther Prep had to suffer through a rough 81-49 loss at the hands of Milwaukee Academy of Science. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Luther Prep has scored all season.
Meanwhile, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between St. John's Northwestern Military Academy and Heritage Christian wasn't particularly close, with St. John's Northwestern Military Academy falling 75-57. While losing is never fun, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Heritage Christian is ranked 38th).
Luther Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
