Potlatch had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] on Monday. The Loggers were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]. The win continues a trend for the Loggers in their matchups with Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]: they've now won seven in a row.

Jay Marshall and Tayson Pollock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Marshall struck out eight batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Pollock tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Marshall has posted since back in April of 2025. At bat, Marshall went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Pollock got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Potlatch let Jameson Morris and Brody Mitchell run wild. Morris went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Mitchell went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs Morris has posted since back in April of 2025. Trey Magallon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Potlatch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colfax, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Garfield-Palouse a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Bulldogs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8, 2025 (when they won 27-0).
The victory got Colfax back to even at 1-1. As for Potlatch, their record is now 2-0.
Potlatch came out on top in a nail-biter against Colfax in their previous matchup on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Loggers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
